Desirae and Alex’s wedding at Woodland Meadow Farms in Snohomish was a true fairytale come to life. As a Snohomish wedding photographer, I get to explore many beautiful venues in the area, but Woodland Meadow Farms is truly something special. It has such a dreamy, woodsy vibe with towering evergreens, filtered golden light, and a peaceful rustic feel that makes every wedding here magical.
The day started in the bridal cottage, a cute little getting-ready space tucked away among the trees. Desirae spent the morning with her bridesmaids, laughing, doing hair and makeup, and soaking in every moment before seeing Alex for the first time that day. The bridal cottage is perfect for these quiet, emotional getting-ready photos – with natural window light streaming in and the soft sounds of birds outside, it feels like a scene from a woodland fairytale.
One of my favorite moments was Desirae and Alex’s first look. They chose a secluded spot surrounded by wildflowers and greenery to see each other before the ceremony. It was such an intimate moment – Alex turned to see Desirae, and immediately his eyes welled up with tears. As a photographer, these are the moments I live for: the raw, genuine emotion of two people completely in love.
After their first look, we spent some time doing couple’s portraits around the venue. Woodland Meadow Farms has so many beautiful photo spots – forest trails, open fields, and garden areas – it feels endless. We captured their romantic portraits under the trees, with the sun filtering through the branches, giving everything that soft, glowy light photographers adore.
And then came one of the most unique parts of their day – photos with Desirae’s pony, Sadie. Sadie had her own florals in her mane to match Desirae’s bouquet, and she looked absolutely adorable. Including beloved animals in your wedding photos adds such a personal and memorable touch. Sadie calmly nuzzled up to them, and it truly felt like something out of a storybook.
The ceremony was held under the venue’s timber-framed pavilion, surrounded by ferns, towering evergreens, and their closest family and friends. There were tears, laughter, and heartfelt vows exchanged as they promised forever to each other. Woodland Meadow Farms’ ceremony space is intimate yet spacious, with wooden details that blend seamlessly into the forest backdrop. It felt private, warm, and full of love.
The reception area was set up with long farmhouse tables draped with white runners and decorated with simple wildflower arrangements in glass jars. As the sun set, string lights glowed warmly overhead, creating that perfect Pacific Northwest woodland wedding vibe. The reception was filled with beautiful speeches from friends and family that had everyone laughing and tearing up.
Desirae and Alex shared their first dance surrounded by loved ones, and then the dance floor opened up. Guests danced the night away under the glowing lights, celebrating love, laughter, and the start of their next chapter.
