Swiftwater Cellars, Cle Elum Wedding
Weddings at a winery already have a little magic built in. Between the mountains, rustic wood finishes, and wine barrels stacked to the ceiling — there’s something so timeless about the atmosphere. But when you add in two people like Danielle and Corey, that magic hits a whole new level.
Their wedding at Swiftwater Cellars in Cle Elum was one of those days that just felt like a fairy tale. Just genuine love, surrounded by gorgeous scenery, close friends, and plenty of wine.
Danielle and Corey each got ready surrounded by their closest friends — lots of laughs, a few happy tears, and those quiet little moments that make the anticipation so sweet.

Corey couldn’t stop smiling once he saw her for the first time during their private first look. Tucked away on the winery grounds, it was just the two of them (and me, quietly snapping away) — a perfect chance to soak it all in before the whirlwind of the day began.

And what’s more fun than having your closest friends by your side to hype you up all day?
Danielle and Corey chose to say their vows outdoors, underneath a wood beam arbor accented with classic white florals and lush greenery. The Cascade Mountains stood tall in the background, a reminder of why this venue is such a hidden gem in Washington.
As Corey leaned in for the kiss, dipping Danielle in the most dramatic (and adorable) way, you could hear a collective cheer from their guests. It was one of those cinematic moments that wedding photographers dream about capturing — full of movement, connection, and the kind of joy you can’t fake.

While the natural beauty of the ceremony space was breathtaking, the real party kicked off once everyone headed inside to the wine cellar for the reception. Picture string lights twinkling overhead, walls lined with oak barrels, and the kind of cozy elegance only a working winery can offer.
The candlelight, warm wood tones, and subtle golden dresses worn by the bridal party created this romantic-but-laid-back vibe. Everyone was having a great time without it ever feeling too “staged” or overdone — which is exactly what made it so special.

Danielle and Corey shared their first dance surrounded by all their favorite people — many of whom were tearing up or grinning ear to ear.

If you’re dreaming of a winery wedding like Danielle and Corey’s, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Ask about timing (and lighting): Many wineries operate during the day, so some areas may only be available for ceremonies or portraits during certain hours. The lighting inside cellars can be dim and moody — great for ambiance, but tricky for photos without a photographer who knows their way around it.
Comfortable footwear is your friend: Wineries often have a mix of terrain — from gravel paths to grass to wood floors. Danielle made it through the day like a pro, but a comfy (and cute) backup pair of shoes is always a smart move.
Plan for weather flexibility: Wineries often have stunning outdoor ceremony spaces, but weather can be unpredictable — especially in places like Cle Elum. Ask about backup options or tenting possibilities so you’re covered, rain or shine, without stressing the week of.
Swiftwater Cellars offers a unique blend of mountain-meets-modern. You get sweeping views of the PNW outdoors, plus elegant indoor spaces with wine country charm. Whether you want to say your vows outside, inside, or even tucked away near the cellar barrels, the venue is versatile without feeling commercial. And the wine? Let’s just say, your guests will thank you.
