A Summer Wedding at Edlynn Farm

Lexy and Donny’s wedding day at Edlynn Farm in Graham, WA was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments, rustic charm, and stunning views of Mount Rainier. As a Pierce County wedding photographer, this venue is one of my favorites because it offers endless opportunities for natural, romantic portraits while still giving couples the cozy, intimate feel of a countryside celebration.

Getting Ready & Meaningful Details

The day began with excitement buzzing through the air. Lexy’s lace gown, hung carefully against the wooden walls of the bridal suite, was a vision of timeless elegance. Thoughtful touches, like their “his and her” vow books and handcrafted wooden ring box, set the tone for a day that was not only about celebration but also about the personal, meaningful details that make a wedding truly unique.

A First Look in the Forest

Before the ceremony, Lexy and Donny shared a private first look along a shaded wooden bridge surrounded by evergreens. Donny, in his sage-green suit, waited with anticipation until Lexy tapped his shoulder. The joy and emotion that followed were written all over their faces.

First looks are such a beautiful way to share a quiet, intimate moment before the whirlwind of the day begins. Not only did it help ease their nerves, but it also gave us the chance to capture some of the sweetest portraits in a serene, natural setting.

A Ceremony with Mountain Views

When it came time to say “I do,” guests gathered on the lawn overlooking Edlynn Farm’s sweeping fields with Mount Rainier standing proudly in the distance. Their wooden arch, draped in flowing fabric and adorned with florals in shades of plum, blush, and greenery, created a picture-perfect ceremony backdrop.

Lexy’s walk down the aisle with family by her side was emotional and full of anticipation. Their vows were filled with love and laughter, and their joyful first kiss as newlyweds had everyone cheering. The setting couldn’t have been more idyllic for such a meaningful moment.

Before the reception kicked off, we took time for some fun wedding party portraits, capturing the couple surrounded by their closest friends, celebrating and goofing around together. These group shots were full of personality and added even more joy to the story of their day.

Golden Hour Portraits

One of the highlights of the day was stepping out into the fields during golden hour. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, Lexy and Donny shared romantic portraits with the softest golden light wrapping around them. Lexy’s flowing gown caught the glow perfectly, while Donny’s gentle embrace made each image feel effortlessly natural.

If you’re getting married at Edlynn Farm in the summer, I highly recommend scheduling time for sunset portraits. The rolling hills and mountain views become pure magic in the evening light, and it’s often when couples get to slow down and soak in the day together.

A Reception Full of Energy

Inside the barn, the celebration continued with a welcoming grand entrance, toasts, laughter, and plenty of dancing. Lexy and Donny shared a romantic first dance, followed by a packed dance floor that kept the energy alive all night long.

A Joyful Send-Off

As the evening came to a close, friends and family lined the barn doors with lanterns, cheering as Lexy and Donny made their grand exit. Their send-off was full of excitement and celebration, ending the night on the perfect note.
